BCPTA COMMITTEES We are always interested in new (and old) members getting involved in the various committees. These are the "cogs" that turn the BCPTA wheel!

Being part of this committee is an especially exciting and rewarding experience for members. Amongst the many responsibilities are contacting and liasing with speakers, organizing mass mail-out to promote the conference; receiving, tracking and confirming registrations; locating, booking and making arrangements for space, equipment rental and catering; obtaining donations for raffle and door prizes; putting together conference packages; creating certificates, printing nametags, preparing receipts, as well as a myriad of tasks to be done on the day. This committee works closely with the BCPTA Board, Education Committee, and many other volunteers who get involved along the way.

B.C.P.T.A. publishes two issues of our E-Newsletter annually. The E-Newsletter has a message from our BCPTA President, workshop and book reviews, as well as articles written by play therapists from all over B.C.
We would like to encourage both new and old members to get involved with the E-Newsletter Committee in order to keep this unique publication alive. Even if you do not have time to be involved at the committee level, perhaps you have an idea for an article or would like to share your thoughts on a recent play therapy book you have read or an event you attended. A big part of the challenge for this committee is finding people to submit articles, reviews, etc. to make the next issue as interesting as the last. This committee currently consists of two members: Helen Ritchie and Amal Khayyat who are responsible for: - Collecting membership fees and providing receipts and membership cards to members.
- Updating the membership database and providing current lists to subcommittees.
- Designing and distributing the membership directory to members annually.
